About the Opportunity
We are seeking an experienced and commercially driven Insurance Recruitment and Client Solutions Consultant to join a growing recruitment business servicing the Australian insurance market.
This opportunity is designed for a recruitment professional who has successfully managed the complete 360° recruitment process and possesses specific experience recruiting within the insurance industry.
The successful candidate will play an important role in connecting insurance businesses with suitable professionals while developing long term relationships with clients and candidates.
This is a client facing position that requires confidence in managing recruitment assignments independently, understanding business requirements and identifying opportunities to expand client relationships.
You will be responsible for overseeing the recruitment process from initial business development and client consultation through to candidate sourcing, interviews, negotiations, successful placements and ongoing relationship management.
The role offers the opportunity to work within an international recruitment environment while contributing to the continued growth of an established recruitment operation.
Key Responsibilities
• Manage the complete 360° recruitment lifecycle including business development, client engagement, candidate sourcing, screening, interviewing, placement coordination and post placement follow up.
• Establish, develop and maintain strong professional relationships with existing and prospective clients and candidates.
• Consult directly with clients to gain a detailed understanding of their recruitment requirements, organisational culture and ideal candidate profiles.
• Proactively identify, approach and engage qualified insurance professionals through LinkedIn, job boards, recruitment databases and targeted headhunting.
• Conduct thorough candidate screening and interviews to assess relevant experience, communication skills, professional suitability, cultural fit, career aspirations and motivations.
• Prepare and present qualified candidate shortlists to clients with clear recommendations and supporting information.
• Introduce suitable client opportunities to candidates and provide informed recommendations based on their professional experience and career objectives.
• Coordinate interviews and manage communication and feedback between clients and candidates throughout the recruitment process.
• Facilitate employment offers, manage negotiations and coordinate candidate onboarding requirements.
• Identify and pursue new business opportunities to expand the client portfolio and generate additional recruitment assignments.
• Work consistently towards individual recruitment, placement and business development targets.
• Maintain accurate and current client and candidate information within the recruitment management system.
• Provide professional recruitment guidance and maintain a positive experience for both clients and candidates throughout the hiring process.
Essential Skills and Experience
• Proven experience working in a full 360° recruitment role with responsibility for both client management and candidate recruitment.
• Previous recruitment experience specifically within the insurance industry.
• Strong client facing experience with the confidence to establish, develop and maintain professional business relationships.
• Excellent written and spoken English communication skills.
• Demonstrated ability to source, screen, interview and qualify suitable candidates.
• A resilient, confident and commercially focused approach to recruitment.
• Ability to work independently while consistently delivering results within a target driven environment.
• Genuine commitment to working Australian business hours on an ongoing basis.
• Willingness to work outside standard hours when required to accommodate candidate availability, including professionals such as doctors who may only return calls after hours.
• Demonstrated ability to engage candidates, build trusted relationships and provide credible career advice and suitable employment options.
• Strong negotiation, influencing and interpersonal communication skills.
• Ability to quickly learn, understand and apply new or complex information.
• Previous experience using JobAdder as a recruitment management system would be advantageous.
International Recruitment Experience
Previous international recruitment experience is strongly preferred.
Ideally, candidates will have experience supporting recruitment activities across international markets and working with clients and candidates in different time zones.
Applicants should be able to demonstrate their ability to consistently work outside standard South African business hours while maintaining high levels of productivity and professional communication.
The successful candidate must be genuinely comfortable and committed to working Australian business hours on a long term basis.
Ideal Candidate Profile
The ideal candidate is an experienced, confident and personable recruitment professional who enjoys building relationships and delivering successful recruitment outcomes.
You will possess strong commercial awareness and the ability to communicate professionally with clients and candidates while managing recruitment activities independently.
You should be comfortable identifying new business opportunities, understanding client requirements, advising candidates and negotiating successful recruitment outcomes.
Resilience, initiative and the ability to establish credibility quickly will be important qualities for success.
Although the total number of years of recruitment experience is flexible, proven 360° recruitment experience combined with specific insurance recruitment experience is essential.
Strong communication skills, cultural alignment, relationship management capabilities and the confidence to represent the recruitment business professionally will be key considerations during the selection process.
